Faculty Profile

Dipa Sinha has done her MA in Economics from JNU, MSc in Development Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London and Ph.d from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has worked on issues related to food rights, nutrition and public health.

Before joining AUD, she worked with the Office of Commissioners to the Supreme Court (on the Right to Food), Centre for Equity Studies and Public Health Research Network. and is actively involved with the Right to Food Campaign.

She is also part of the research team for the Palanpur Village Survey – a longitudinal village survey being conducted by London School of Economics in collaboration with the Centre de Sciences Humaines, New Delhi.

She has written extensively on issues related to public policy, health and nutrition. Her book, "Women, Health and Public Services in India: Why are states different?" has recently been published by Routledge India
